Chapter 7 of the New York Athletic Administrators’ Association (NYSAAA) is proud to congratulate Chris Hartmann for his accomplishments as its Outstanding Athletic Administrator. Chris was given the honor March 14th at the awards banquet of the NYSAAA’s annual conference hosted at the Saratoga Hilton. Chris is a strong leader at Plattsburgh High where he is currently in his fourth year as Athletic Director. “Chris is perceptive and vigilant within the CVAC and Section VII. Chris is never afraid to question the status quo and always looks out for the best interests of student-athletes within Section VII. I’ve been impressed with Chris’ work ethic and dedication in his role at Plattsburgh.” stated Matt Walentuk, Executive Director of Section VII and Chapter 7 representative for the NYSAAA. Josh Harrica, CVAC President, has the following to say, “Chris Hartmann has been a fixture in the Athletic Department at Plattsburgh City School District for the better part of two decades. In the time I have known Chris, I have known him to be a passionate member of the Plattsburgh Athletic Department. Since becoming the Athletic Coordinator, Chris has worked hard to promote positive experiences for the student athletes of his district. “
As Athletic Coordinator at Plattsburgh, Chris has implemented Unified Basketball, established the “42 Club”, and upgraded the weight room facility. Chris has also served as the NYSAAA Chapter 7 Certification Committee since 2016. Chris has coached a variety of sports throughout his tenure at Plattsburgh including basketball, track and tennis. Most notably, Chris has won eight (8) CVAC titles and seven (7) Section VII titles in boys’ basketball.
